March 14 is National Potato Chip Day! Potato chips are one of America’s favorite snack foods. Back in the 1900s, George Crum, a cook at Moon’s Lake House, had a customer who kept sending back a plate of fries and complaining that they weren’t thin enough. Crum then sliced the customers potatoes extremely thin, thus giving birth to the potato chip! From original sea salt to chicken-and-waffle-flavored potato chips, there’s so many choices to love.
